So you don't like having your photo taken, neither do I and neither did Bryony (above) but she knew that for her business website she needed a professional head, a selfie, a snapshot or worse still, no photograph just wasn't going to cut it.
Many people, and this may include you, don't mind having your picture taken. Yet hiring someone to do it for you can still seem seem like a step too far. Below are a few reasons why you might benefit from a professional headshot.
1. First Impressions
Whether we like it or not, first impressions are vital, and we all make them; snap decisions based on what we see. It is also much harder to later change it.
Your clients research businesses and brands before choosing to interact. If they don’t like what they see, they may not click further. A strong professional photograph will create a great first impression, and your clients get a sense of WHO is behind the business.
2. People want to deal with people
Your business brand, CV or online profile may get you the initial call for your next opportunity, but it is you (and the people in your business) that people want to work with. Putting a face to a company or profile starts building that important relationship from the very start

Your headshot tells the story of who you are. A great headshot should show your personality, so people can get more of a sense of you and what you are about, whilst still looking professional. Everything from the background, facial expression, to the clothes you wear says something and allows viewers to get a peek into who you are.
